SOCIAL TEAMS

SOCIAL TEAMS get discounted entry fees, as well as additional benefits and prices.  Running with a friend (or a group!) really is so much more fun than running alone. Once the race is over, a team is there to celebrate, and relax after the accomplishments of the day. Plus, they’ll keep people going and motivate them to keep training or finish strong if they’re starting to feel sluggish mid-race.

RACE TIMING/TIME LIMITS/RESTRICTIONS

The Alameda 10-Miler is a chip-timed event.  Participants must finish the 10 mile course in 2.5 hours  Participants can run, jog or walk the entire course. Don’t worry, the festival area at the end of the race will be eagerly awaiting you!

Jogging strollers are permitted but are asked to start in the back of the pack.  Wheelchair athletes are permitted but due to safety concerns and street closure restrictions cannot travel faster than the fastest runner.   No bikes, scooters, skateboards or other wheeled vehicles are allowed. Dogs are not allowed on our race courses.  We love dogs, but there are those who are not so comfortable around them and there are also dogs that are uncomfortable around hundreds of other people, therefore NO DOGS ALLOWED on the course or at the finish line.

The course is certified through USATF : CA21004DT

ABOUT THE COURSE

START TIME:  7am

The flat and fast 10 mile course follows the Bay Trail path along the water, cruising through Crab Cove and with a turn around just south of Crown Beach Memorial. The out-and-back course makes the USS Hornet shine and takes you on a tour of the Port of Oakland cranes and ferry terminal. Love boats? Love the beach? Love local hops? Come run Alameda with us!  VIEW THE ROUTE ON MAPMYRUN

TURN BY TURN:

MEDICAL

The Medical Team is a dedicated group of medical professionals, available to help assess your race day medical needs and administer acute first aid when necessary. A medical station will be located near the finish line as well as at the water stop along the course.

WATER STOPS

THIS IS A CUPLESS RACE-  In order to reduce touch points for our volunteers and participants and to keep disposable cups out of the Alameda community and waterways, we are initiating A CUP FREE POLICY for the Alameda 10-Miler.  It’s good for our Bay, the environment and safe for runners!

WHAT IS A CUP-LESS RACE? A cup-less race means that there will be no paper water cups between the start and the finish line like you’d typically see at road races.

WILL THERE BE FLUIDS ON THE COURSE? There will be water available in the start area. On the course, there will be self-serve refill stations that can also be accessed at one location along the route. At the finish line, each runner will get a bottled water.

HOW DO I GET WATER ON THE COURSE? There will be two self-serve fluid stations on the course—at mile 3 and 7—offering numerous valves allowing you to fill a 20-ounce water bottle in just seconds. Participants will be responsible for bringing and carrying their own container with them during the event. Handheld containers can include a bike bottle, a hand-held running bottle, Camel-bak, a Hydra-Pouch, or any type of non-glass water bottle of your choosing.

AFTER THE RACE – CELEBRATION ON THE SHORE

What better way to celebrate your accomplishments – music, beer fun! Participants will be treated in typical Corrigan Sports style with a quality Under Armour premium and finisher's medal plus a fun and festive post-race party featuring local beer and wine while you enjoy city views with friends.
